Who can I contact if I need further information?

A member of the Broadening Horizons team is available to assist you. You can reach us through our website’s contact form, via email, LinkedIn, or by connecting with your local LLEN.

Can students participate in Broadening Horizons more than once?

Broadening Horizons offers career exploration and work-related skill development to students from Years 7-10. Students will benefit from participating in the program either as a stand-alone subject, or across consecutive years.

Who runs the Broadening Horizons program?

The Broadening Horizons program is co-designed and delivered by teachers and industry mentors, with the support from their local LLEN Coordinator. As such the learning model is different to the standard curriculum, and may involve industry visits.

How long does the program run?

Each module is designed with 6 stages, and 12-14 sessions (lessons). The program can run across a term, or as an intensive one week block. It can be tailored to fit your school’s specific learning goals, student needs, and timetable requirements.

What year levels does the program cater to?

Broadening Horizons offers resources designed for three modules: Module 1 for Years 7-8, Module 2 for Year 9, and Module 3 (and 3A) for Year 10 students.

How do I determine which part of the program to run with my students?

A Broadening Horizons team member will reach out to discuss your school’s needs and help identify the most suitable module. Module 1 targets Years 7-8, Module 2 is for Year 9, and Module 3/3A is designed for Year 10.

How can I find out if my school participates in Broadening Horizons?

Check with your school’s principal or year-level coordinators. Alternatively, you can contact a local Broadening Horizons representative, who can confirm your school’s involvement and provide a school contact.
